Welcome to the Project Developer Forum





The Forum was founded by AES Climate Solutions, Camco, Climate Change Capital, EcoSecurities, EEA, First Climate, Icecap Ltd, Sindicatum Carbon Capital and Tricorona. In the first half of 2009 the PD Forum has gained momentum and expanded its membership to become recognised as a key spokes-organisation for all project developers. As of May 2009, PD Forum members account for just over one third of all registered CDM projects.

Since its creation the PD Forum has:
  • developed and adopted a code of conduct which has been the first of its kind in CDM/JI;
  • more than doubled its membership to include project developers from developing nations;
  • submitted a range of highly focused unsolicited letters to the CDM Executive Board (CDM-EB) on subjects of keen interest to project developers, including investment benchmarks, programme of activities and monitoring plan revisions;
  • responded to formal calls for input on various issues, include efficiency in the CDM process;
  • participated in the first two meetings of CDM stakeholders (CDM-EB, Secretariat, Designated National Authorities - DNAs, DOEs) sponsored by the World Bank;
  • participated in the DNA Forum in April 2009 in Bonn to speak on evolving issues as well as participate in working groups;
  • started an active out-reach program to inform project developers worldwide of their opportunity to join the organisation and share their ideas related to CDM/JI.

The PD Forum was formally launched in November 2008 and incorporated in February 2009. We are committed to a maximum of transparency and have laid down clear procedures in our articles of association and membership rules to ensure due processes and to enable all members to bring their views in.
